Plura extended its IP support with SFP-H-7 series and SMPTE ST-2022-7 at 2019 IBC Show.

SFP-H-7 monitor series provides innovation and flexibility for broadcasters, sports and other advanced production applications – with ST-2022-7 compliance.

Plura Broadcast, a global manufacturer of high-performance digital broadcast and video production solutions, Plura unveils the NEW SFP-H-7, Hybrid Monitor Series, supporting Coax, and Fiber & IP at the 2019 IBC Show.

The Plura SFP-H-7 is derivative of the popular SFP-H Hybrid Monitor Series, supporting Coax, Fiber & IP connectivity.  In addition the SFP-H-7 series complies with SMPTE ST 2022-7 and Ember+.

The SFP-H series comes standard with PIPM-R-7. “Plura FPGA based module which supports 3G SMPTE ST 2110 signals across 10 GigE and it features 2x 10 GbE SFP+ cages complying with SMPTE ST 2022-7, providing redundancy protection for critical distribution and monitoring applications “hitless switching”.

SFP-H-7 monitor series supports Ember+ control system protocol. All SFP-H-7 monitors can be controlled by Lawo-VSM, BFE-Core or any other Ember+ compliant control system.

The SFP-H-7 monitor series will be available in multiple sizes starting from 17″ all the way to 84″.

The SFP-H is integrated with powerful H/W & S/W platforms to support Coaxial 3Gb/s BNC I/O connectivity, Coaxial SFP I/O connectivity, IP SFP+ over Fiber  De-Encap “ST-2110 & ST-2022” with Third-Party H/W.

The main objectives of this product is to process, monitor and analyze multi-Format signals including IP streams directly on the monitor without using external hardware such as converters or Gateway to convert different type of signals into a base-band coaxial HD signal before the monitor.

The innovation of this product is a combination of multi-Core powerful H/W and S/W platforms to adapt and process multiple protocols.

“As an extension to the successful SFP-H Hybrid series, Plura is glad to introduce the new and distinctive SFP-H-7 IP monitor with ST-2022-7 and Ember+ support, many customers have requested such technology to be embedded within our monitors and we have delivered their wishes.” said Ray Kalo, president, Plura.  “Plura is committed to the IP 2110 & 2022 long term initiative and planning. We will not stop here and will continue to evolve our solutions to suit any studio or mobile IP and/or Coaxial production workflow, and equally keeping the affordability factor in our agenda”.

Plura Broadcast will have multiple SFP-H-7 units display including the new PIPM and Smart Service Telemetry Platform at the 2019 IBC Show, Hall 8 Stand 8B73.
